Another drum circle, another drum journey, another wonderful experience!
It’s that time of the month again and as I went off earlier this evening to the beautiful Bastian Snakedancer’s ‘Aloha Drum Circle’, I wondered what experiences awaited me there.
We started with a beautiful chakra meditation awakening me to the four elements as my energy field expanded…
- At my base I was awakened to a landscape of lush pastures, warmed by the rising sun
- At my belly I was awakened to the sweet sounds of song, singing songs of welcome and love, relationship and caring
- At my solar centre, my personal power awoke within me a bonfire of recreation and possibility
- At my heart, I found myself within a large oak tree through which I was able to travel into many lands, expanding my experience through the love of the Dryads and the world tree
- At my throat, all was blue, the sky and sea shimmered and I became as one with them
- At my third eye, the synapses of my brain rewired themselves connecting together on a silvery, silken thread of feeling
- At my crown I experienced the pure, white energies of spirit connecting and blending with me in a bath of pure inspiration
And so I awoke to the journey before me… and to help me on my way, my power animal, Panther, joined me to act as pathfinder for my travels to come.

The drums began, and the flute began to play as I ascended up through the earth into a beautiful lush green grove, which had a stone circle at its centre (not unlike Stone Henge). Trees and bushes surrounded the grove and the stones towered, large and tall around me.
I was not alone. My druid guide, Concho, was with me, as were other druids, all standing around me. I looked down at myself and realised that I was dressed in the same way as them, and felt completely at home with this group.
Concho told me that he was part of my ancestral group and this was the druid group that we had both belonged to within that lifetime.
I now realised that we weren’t standing around without purpose. We were there to perform a great rite. A rite to the stars, so that they might align to bring a peace upon the earth. For this there was a sacrificial goat, and the blood of the goat spilt upon the earth and the offering was given in the names of the Gods.
We then lit a mighty fire, in front of the altar and the goats remains were burned in this so that its ashes may also lend power to the rite.
I sat down in front of the fire and began to skry.
At first I began to see images of the changes happening in my present day life. I saw a personal rebirth within these happenings and it gave me hope. And then it all went black.
Within the blackness was the drum. Its beat carrying me as if on waves for the rest of the journey until it gently brought me back into the circle once more.
I thanked Panther and Concho for guiding me through this journey and am feeling very grateful and blessed for the experience of my druid life.
Namaste
