Shaman

Ali by PondJourneying through the landscape of Shamanism has taught me many things, values and ways of being.

It has taught me to never underestimate the  wonder of this planet that we live on and all the creations living beside me, sharing my life and space.

It has taught me to live in balance and bring balance, where possible, to the world around me.  Loving and respecting all the species of this Earth, be they plant, animal or mineral.

I have met many teachers on my journey, amongst these are the Nepalese Shaman, who inspired me to use natural soils and harvests in my rituals and also seeing Stephen Farmer speak of his and others power animals has inspired me to look deeper into this and I now know and love the Power Animals that have chosen to work with me and within me.

My main teacher has been my friend, teacher, guide and companion now for quite a few years and he is constantly by my side, guiding me, directing me, allowing me to find my own way whilst nurturing my growth and I feel very blessed to have him with me.  Let me introduce you to my Spirit Guide/Master Shaman, White Feather – as he introduced himself to me ‘ A Shaman from the old lands’.  He is originally from South America BCE, and lived in native tribes in that continent for many years before becoming a Spirit Guide to others who chose to follow the path.

White Feather teaches me that we are all one energy, so the energy that we give out from ourselves is the energy that we will receive in return. He has taught me shamanic lessons, whilst journeying through the Upper, Middle and Lower Worlds, introducing me to other Guides that can aid me on my Journey and I know that they are always with me when I ask.

I have been guided by my Gnome guides and White Feather that I am following the path of Nature and bring the world Gnome Medicine.  This is a path I have followed for sometime, connecting more and more with the plants and trees of this world through both healing and journeying… I am excited to be on this journey.

I have also been introduced to my Power Animals, Spider and Panther, who have all come to me at different times in my learning, to guide my in the different energies I am experiencing.

Spider comes to weave her web around the world, to catch all the love and envelope us with it.  She teaches us that power and strength are more when used with love and joy.  For me she is a protector and healer, who guides me always.  When I first started to work with Spider, I was actually afraid of physical spiders and had to overcome this fear to begin my journey with her as a guide, I can now handle spiders without fear, but sometimes with a healthy respect :)

Panther comes to show the individual path, the path of enlightenment, in to love and away from fear.  He comes to show me that I am able to lead myself and not to worry about others interpretations of this.  He shows me the path to strength is through giving and sharing.  Panther brings me a powerful yet gentle energy to bring to my teaching and healing sessions.

Recently I found myself on retreat in the wonderful historic town of Braidwood, NSW with the lovely Billie Dean, learning all about the Shamanism of the Inca’s and being initiated into the Munay-Ki rites as they were given by the Four Winds Society and Alberto Vivoldo.  I went on a fantastic journey and made many new and wonderful soul friends.  I feel that I am now being drawn back to the Andes and the place of my early childhood… Peru and Machu Pichu is  calling…

Watch this space for more on my travels through the mysteries of Shamanism…

Love, balance and blessings to you all
